L&D Transformation for Healthcare Staff

Role: Instructional Designer & Project Lead
Focus: Learning & Development | Healthcare Education | Digital Transformation
Learning Audience: Nursing staff in public hospitals

Description:
As part of a USA–Ecuador government collaboration, I transformed a content-heavy, face-to-face programme for nursing staff into a flexible, bilingual digital learning experience. The goal was to improve relevance, accessibility, and practical application in clinical settings.

Main Challenges:

  • The in-person sessions were overloaded with content and took too much time out of clinical duties

  • Learners lacked practical tools they could apply directly in their roles

Solutions:

  • Converted in-person sessions into a modular online format

  • Designed infographics to highlight and simplify key concepts

  • Developed a downloadable PDF toolkit for easy, on-the-job reference

  • Scripted, recorded, and edited video content with junior doctors and subject matter experts

Skills demonstrated:

  • Instructional design for healthcare professionals

  • Multimedia content creation (infographics, video, toolkits)

  • eLearning experience design and platform integration

  • Stakeholder collaboration and project leadership

  • Bilingual content development (Spanish & English)

Technology used:

  • Articulate Storyline

  • Moodle

  • Adobe Creative Suite
